Senior Family Law Clerk
From the beginning of her legal career, Nicole Slavin has shown a strong desire to protect those who cannot not protect themselves — most importantly children and victims of domestic violence. While at the University of New Hampshire Law School she gained much experience in this area. She served on the board of the school’s Domestic and Sexual Violence program. The Domestic Violence Emergency Project (DOVE) certified her to help victims obtain a restraining order. Yet another example is her volunteer work for Bridges, a domestic and sexual violence support program. And, during the holiday seasons she organized a toy donation drive for children living in domestic violence shelters.
Nicole’s original intent was to prosecute domestic violence cases. She spent one summer interning at the Concord City Prosecutor’s office learning criminal procedure. She later worked from a different perspective, helping defend misdemeanor crimes for the law student clinic. When she began working in family law, however, she saw the intersection between domestic violence and family law. She decided to change paths, and has now worked in family law for several years. Nicole demonstrates great talent for helping clients navigate the ins and outs of this daunting process. She invests herself in every case. Her organized, thorough approach helps the firm deliver high quality representation.
On a more personal note, Nicole was born and raised in New Hampshire, and has no plans to leave. She lives with her husband Mark in Milford. The mother of three beautiful daughters (not to mention two cats and a German Shepherd puppy), her family enjoys hiking together and board game nights. Nicole is also a foodie who loves to cook for her family every night.
