Katie Chase primarily assists on criminal cases, keeping busy on important tasks like managing the attorney calendars, drafting paperwork to be filed, and scheduling client meetings. Prior to joining Cohen & Winters she worked for four years at the New Hampshire Public Defender where she started as a legal assistant and worked her way up to assistant office administrator. While there, she flourished in a high volume, high pressure environment. Her calm and steady demeanor is reassuring for clients going through an incredibly stressful experience.
Katie also regularly helps with setting up consultation for potential clients, preparing fee agreements, and opening new cases in the Cohen & Winters client management portal.
Born on a naval base in Bath, Maine, Katie was raised in Loudon, New Hampshire, and graduated from Merrimack Valley High School. Her other work experience includes as an administrative assistant at a landscaping company, a receptionist for a dog grooming service, and in the food service industry.
On top of working full-time, Katie attends college at the New Hampshire Technical Institute in the evenings. Her hobbies include kayaking, crocheting, reading, painting, looking after her houseplants, and spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Concord with her boyfriend Mike, their dog and two rabbits
